Penrite pours its support into 2015 Australian Supercross Championship

Australian Supercross Championship press release:

As the Energy Logistix third round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship presented by Penrite Oils draws ever closer at Adelaide Showground this Saturday night (October 31) to mark the midway point of the series, the timing is perfect to acknowledge the huge support leading Australian lubricant brand Penrite is pouring into the series.

Penrite is a major sponsor of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship, in an alignment that puts the 100 percent Australian and family-owned independent company right in the thick of the action – which is precisely where it wants to be!

And action is what is expected this weekend at round three, as arch rivals Dan Reardon (CDR Yamaha) and Matt Moss (Motul Suzuki) continue their heavyweight title fight battle for Championship honours in the SX1 class.

But this time around Reardon and Moss will face the added competition of the one-off appearance of hometown South Australian international motocross hero Brett Metcalfe, who is making a whirlwind trip home from California to contest the Adelaide round.

“I last saw Brett Metcalfe racing the AMA Outdoor Motocross championship in the USA, so it will be great to see him back on home soil again at the Adelaide Showground,” enthuses Penrite’s Toby Dymond.

“It’s so exciting to see Supercross back in Adelaide after a seven year absence, and I’m sure the fans are just as excited as I am to see Brett mixing it up with the Championship front runners.

“We wish Brett the best of luck and look forward to a great event at Adelaide this weekend.”

With a proud heritage dating back to 1926, Penrite has grown from humble beginnings in a residential estate of suburban Melbourne to now be a major player in the Australian, USA, UK, European and Asian lubricant markets.

The extensive Penrite range – which can be viewed at www.penriteoil.com.au – includes lubricants specifically formulated to suit motorcycle, automotive, go-kart, 4WD, heavy machinery and industrial applications, in addition to a huge catalogue of care and maintenance products.

Penrite is also a huge supporter of numerous categories of Australian motorsport, highlighted by its flagship sponsorships of the Erebus Motorsport V8 Supercar team and the Penrite Honda Racing motocross team, which is currently represented by American stars Gavin Faith and Jimmy Decotis alongside Venezuelan Anthony Rodriguez in the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship. Decotis, of course, is the runaway leader in the SX2 class of the Australian Supercross Championship, having taken convincing wins in rounds one and two of the Championship thus far.

“The Australian Supercross Championship counts on the support of so many sponsor partners and from the outset of planning of this year’s Championship, Penrite has been a fabulous supporter of the series,” explains 2015 Australian Supercross Championship series co-ordinator Mark Luksich.

“As the excitement of the Championship continues to build going into the midway round in Adelaide this weekend, we look forward to working further with Penrite to maximise our partnership.”
