DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha:
An exciting weekend for the DPH Motorsports team with their first podium in the MX2 class by Wade Hunter and some solid Championship points in the MX1 class secured by Lawson Bopping.
Lawson unfortunately struggled with his energy levels due to his ongoing battle with Diabetes. He showed some serious speed during qualifying, placing 5th as well as finishing 6h in the main event.
“Round two was hard for me, I really struggled most of the weekend. In the final I was honestly out of energy on lap 6 so I just circulated around. The round wasn’t a disaster but I just need to sort out my health as I know I have more in me” said Bopping.
Wade Hunter was truly on fire, proving he had earned his spot on the YZ250 DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha for his first round with the team. After qualifying 5th, he went out for the main with a fire in and belly and it paid off, finishing 3rd in the main event.
“The whole team and the bike are awesome! I feel like Jimboomba was a good night for me and I’m glad to get the first podium off my back. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season” said Hunter.
DPH Motorsports continue their assault on the 2015 Supercross Championship at Round 3 in Wayville, SA on October 31st.
