Raceline Pirelli Suzuki made steady progress on the weekend, when the second round 2015 Australian Supercross Championship was hosted at Jimboomba in Queensland on Saturday night.

With no Under 19’s class racing at round two, SX2 pilot Jesse Madden flew the Raceline flag solo on the weekend, riding to an outstanding top ten finish, in what was only his second appearance in the SX2 class.

Despite Madden hitting his head hard in practice, and experiencing significant dizziness for most of his qualifying session, the young local stepped things up in his heat race, before wowing the crowds with a tenth place finish when the main event for the night wrapped up.

“It was actually a pretty good weekend for me – I rang my bell when I hit my head in practice and I didn’t know how I would go racing, but I was stoked with tenth,” he said. “Jimboomba was a home round for me, and I had a lot of family and friends there to support me, so it was good to get a solid result for them.

“I actually had Danny Ham under the truck with me for most of the day, and he’s a bit of an old racing legend, so he gave me some tips and pointers and it was really valuable having his input. “I rode every day in the lead up to round two, and it made a big difference, so I’ll be sticking to the program again for the next round.”

Raceline Pirelli Suzuki Team Manager Chris Woods commended Madden on his performance on the weekend, and mentioned that Raceline’s success flowed on to the Junior Lites category too.

“We had a great weekend with Jesse, he’s really impressing us with how he’s handling stepping up to the SX2 class, and I think there’s a lot more to come from this kid,” “He did hit his head pretty hard in practice, so we we’re too sure how he would go racing, but to get a top ten is a great achievement.

“Jess is taking things seriously, and he’s really adapting to the new class well, so we really couldn’t be happier – it’s a good environment under our truck, and we’ve got great equipment to work with.

“We also had Jackson Davison racing in the Junior Lites class on the weekend who we try and help out a bit. He holeshotted every race and got fifth for the night on his Raceline prepared RMZ 250, so it was a good night all round for us.”
