Penrite Honda Wilson MX Jimboomba bound for round two

Wilson MX press release:

Penrite Honda Wilson MX are ready to fire in to action, when round two of the 2015 Australian Supercross Series at Jimboomba kicks off in just under a days time.

After a solid start to the series in Bathurst a week ago, the Honda backed team is ready to continue their 2015 SX2 championship hunt, as the series heads to sunny Queensland this weekend.

For the Wilson MX four man squad of Geran Stapleton, Jackson Richardson, Jake Williams and Luke Wilson, Jimboomba marks old stomping grounds as well as new territory – however familiar or not, the team is ready to leave their mark on the SX2 class this Saturday night.

Jackson Richardson:

“It was good to get back to racing at round one last weekend, and to be in contention for the title this early is pretty exciting,” he said. “We have just had press day at Jimboomba, and the track looks awesome – the guys have done a great job and everyone is hanging to race it tomorrow. “I’ve got some tough competition, and Luke Clout and Jimmy Deoctis are on fire, but if I can get away on Saturday night with a solid result and some points on the board, I’ll be stoked.”

Geran Stapleton:

“I was pretty happy with how I went last weekend, but I’m hoping to improve my results and step things up again in Jimboomba. “I’ve had a pretty good week of training, so the preparation has been good and from everything I’ve heard the track is awesome. “I’ve got a good setting on the Honda which I’m really happy with, and it’s always a good time racing in Queensland, so as long as I stay on the bike it should be a good weekend.”

Jake Williams:

“After my crash last week, I’m starting to feel a lot better. I’ve had a massage this week and loosened everything up so it should be a better weekend,” he said. “The track looks awesome at Jimboomba, so I’m just going to push through this round, hopefully get some points and work towards round three in South Australia. “The bikes are looking good, and the team is all organized so I’m ready to get back out there.”

Luke Wilson:

“Last weekend was pretty tough, so I’m just putting round one behind me and focusing on this weekend’s results. “I’ve changed a few things up this week with my training and the bike, so I’m hoping that will show on the track at Jimboomba. “I live in Queensland not too far from the track, so I’ve got a good bunch of family and friends coming to support me this weekend, so fingers crossed I can put on a good performance, and get some points on the board for the team.”
