Link International press release:
Team Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss made an outstanding comeback to racing on Saturday night, taking the opening SX1 Australian Supercross Championship win with the support of Motul Oils.
After a drawn out hiatus from racing, Moss returned to the Australian Supercross scene on the weekend – taking an emphatic opening heat win, before backing up his result in the final – recording perfect results in what was his first outing since returning from injury.
With a point to prove, Moss took his loyal sponsors along for the ride at round one of the ASX, returning to the top step of the podium and proving that despite his time off, the reigning champ is back to defend his Supercross title.
“It feels so good to be back racing, and to get the win with the support of my sponsors at round one of the Supercross is awesome,” he said.
“I have had the guys from Link International in my corner for a long time now, and to have such a good relationship with them gives me a lot of confidence in their products.
“Knowing you have the best products in the business makes winning races that little bit easier, and it definitely gave me the point of difference with Motul last weekend.”
Link International and Motul Oils Marketing Coordinator Mark Kelly also shared his excitement in seeing Team Motul Suzuki’s Moss back where he belongs at round one.
“We’re so pleased to see Matt back on the top step where he belongs,” he said.
“It’s been a rough year for the boys at Team Motul Suzuki, but to see Matt rise up and show everyone he is still the man to beat is fantastic.”
