Jesse Madden takes renewed confidence into next round.
Raceline Pirelli Suzuki press release:
Raceline Pirelli Suzuki are preparing for another weekend of racing, as the MX Nationals heads to Nowra on Sunday for the eighth installment of the 2015 series.
Despite a challenging round at Shepparton in Victoria just two weeks ago, MXD pilot Jesse Madden will head to round eight with renewed confidence, hoping to return to the form showcased in the earlier stages of the season.
Madden, who has spent the last two weeks stepping up his training regime, say’s he’s feeling confident ahead of this weekend, and is looking forward to racing at Nowra for the first time.
“I feel a lot fitter and faster ahead of this weekend – I’ve been riding a lot of hard pack the last few weeks just trying to step things up, so I’m looking forward to Nowra,” he said.
“I have never been to Nowra before, but I’ve heard it’s pretty tight, and technical, so I’ve been putting in a lot of work to prepare for that style of racing and it should be a cracker this weekend.
“The whole team is feeling good, we have a great bike to work with, so if I can get some good starts on Sunday we should definitely be able to improve on the results from last round – I needed to pull my finger out so that’s the goal this weekend.”
Raceline Pirelli Suzuki Team Manager Chris Woods say’s he is feeling positive about this weekend, and is hoping the team can step things up in new surroundings at Nowra.
“We’re feeling good about this weekend, Jesse has done some hard work over the past two weeks, so it’s head down, bum up on Sunday,” he said.
“There’s still a lot of racing left until the chequers at Coolum, and it’s motocross so anything can happen – there’s no pressure on Jesse, so I think that will play into his favor this weekend.
“Obviously we always want to get solid results for our sponsors and team supporters – they play an integral role in getting us to the races, so we’ll keep chipping away and fingers crossed it works out for us this weekend.
“I’m a big believer in not getting ahead of yourself, and Nowra is going to be a different style of racing for everyone, the main goal is to put the pieces of the puzzle together, and for Jesse to just grab this opportunity and run with it.”
The Raceline Pirelli Suzuki Team will now head to Nowra on August 2 for round eight of the MX Nationals.
