DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha confident heading to South Australia

Bopping satisfied with Murray Bridge pre-race preparation.

DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha press release:

DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha are feeling positive as they make the journey to Murray Bridge this weekend. As Round 4 of the MX Nationals gets under way in South Australia.

Lawson Bopping will again be the sole rider for DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha when the team arrive in South Australia. Cheyne Boyd is unavailable due to prior work commitments, and Ross Beaton is still a few weeks away from a return, since breaking his leg during preseason training.

Due to last weekend’s Victoria MX State Title round being called off in Ballarat due to heavy rain, Lawson will be eager to get on the track. Bopping is hoping to challenge for a podium finish at Murray Bridge, while working his way back up the MX1 Championship standings, as he currently sits in 5th.

“I’m definitely looking forward to it, as I’ve had three weekends off since the last Nationals. I like Murray Bridge, as the dirt is good there. From here on out, the tracks seem to get better I think, and this is probably one of my favourite tracks of the series.” states Bopping.

“I’m feeling good, as I’ve been able to have three weeks of practice at home. I’ve done a lot of riding with Luke Styke over the last couple of weeks. It’s been fun doing Motos with him, as we’re a similar pace. So it’s great to have someone to chase around the track.”

“Hopefully I can get into Superpole again, as I’ve been in it at all three rounds. I plan to be strong all the way through the Motos. I’ve done a lot of Motos at home, and I’m feeling fitter than I have. So it’s probably the best preparation I’ve had going into this round, than I have at the last three rounds. So I just want to stay on the bike and get a decent result.”

DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha continue their 2015 campaign this weekend, when the MX Nationals arrive in Murray Bridge, SA for Round 4 on Sunday, May 17th.
