Round four host reaping the rewards of national championship.
In just over one week Murray Bridge will welcome thousands of motocross athletes, teams and spectators to the region for round four of the 2015 MX Nationals series.
With the ever growing series once again returning to the town on the Murray come Sunday, 17 May, local economies are set to reap the rewards, with more than half a million dollars tipped to be injected into local businesses over the weekend.
MX Nationals promoter Kevin Williams shared his excitement in taking the series back to South Australia and says he’s proud to be able to support local communities like Murray Bridge.
“We are very excited to be taking the series back to Murray Bridge for round four next weekend,” he said. “With the MX Nationals becoming such a huge roadshow, we are very pleased that local economies can benefit from hosting a round of our championship.
“Rural sporting events are very important to Australian communities and the MX Nationals is always looking at ways to give back to our hosting towns.
“Through working with the local council, we have developed a number of ways in which we can continue to support the region, and I think the whole community will see the benefits of the MX Nationals visiting the area next weekend.”
Murray Bridge Council Business Development manager Mildy Raveane also shared his excitement and said that restaurants, accommodation chains, pubs and more will all benefit from the visit next weekend.
“Murray Bridge is very excited to once again have the opportunity to host a round of the MX Nationals,” he said.
“We have a strong motorcycle fan base in South Australia, and local businesses will certainly feel the positive impact the visit will have, when the MX Nationals arrives next week.
“Events like these help the Murray Bridge region to be recognised as a strong destination for sport, and we are very excited for our local community to see the benefit of hosting round four the MX Nationals.”
