The MX Nationals continues this weekend, when the championship travels to NSW for Round 2. DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha will be looking to continue with their promising start to the series, when the gates drop in Appin.

Lawson Bopping will be the sole rider flying the flag for DPH Peter Stevens Yamaha, as Cheyne Boyd is unavailable due to prior work commitments, and Ross Beaton still recovering from his preseason leg injury.

Lawson will be looking to build on his positive start to the season, which saw him take 4th Overall at Horsham, and has him currently sitting 3rd in the MX1 Championship.

“I pulled up not to bad from Horsham, little bit stiff and sore on the Monday, but overall I was feeling good. I was back riding on the Tuesday after the race, so it wasn’t too bad. I had two very decent weeks of training on the bike, so I’m feeling great going in to Appin.”

“Over the years I’ve had some decent results at the Appin circuit. I wouldn’t say it’s the best track of the series, but it’s much better than Horsham, so I’m looking forward to it.”

“Obviously you want to win races, as it’s always the goal. But a Podium finish would be nice. After getting a 4th place result at the first round, I’ll be definitely looking to improve on that. “
