Female off-road ace Tayla Jones will be Yamaha-mounted for the 2015 season after coming to terms with brand for the new year and is excited about the opportunity in front of her.

Jones will be riding the all new YZ250FX for Yamaha Motor Australia, competing in the Australian Off Road Championships (AORC), the Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) as well as the up-coming Australian Enduro–X Nationals and other selected events throughout the year.

“I’m really pleased to be working with Yamaha for the 2015 season and racing and the new YZ250FX next year,” Jones said. “I have only ridden the bike a couple of times and it’s amazing. It handles so well and has really responsive power, so I can’t wait to race it when the season starts at the Enduro –X.

“Again I’m going to race the full off-road calendar for 2015 as well as some other events like Hattah. I would like to do the ISDE again as that is a great event, and who knows, I might even do a round of the Women’s Motocross Championship at the MX Nationals. I love racing and changing to Yamaha has me really motivated to do well next year.”

Jones is already firmly established as a top flight female racer in Australia, taking home second place in the A4DE as well as third in the AORC. Jones was also part of the successful Women’s team that won the International Six Day Enduro in the past two seasons.

“We look forward to working with Tayla and welcome her to the Yamaha fold,” stated Yamaha Motorsport manager Ray Howard. “Her resume is very impressive and to have her on Yamaha and the YZ250FX is extremely exciting. With the extra support, we believe Tayla can be Australia’s best female off-road rider and I know she is working hard towards achieving that goal.”

Jones will make her debut on Yamaha at the Australian Enduro-X Nationals early in the new year, with the three-round championships with events to be ran in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
