Husqvarna Motocross Racing Team manager Craig Anderson is confident his Berry Sweet-backed operation will be ready when the gates drop during Sunday’s first round of Monster Energy MX Nationals.

Anderson has been handed the reins of Husqvarna’s return to factory motocross competition in Australia, fielding a youthful combination of Brock Winston (MX1), Nick Sutherland (MX2) and Egan Mastin (MXD) in 2014.

“After a late start it’s all coming together for us now,” Anderson said. “The boys are happy with their bikes and real focused. We’ve been working closely with Ross McWatters at MCD for the last few days chasing the perfect suspension and engine setting for Brock and we’ve found a setting he’s real comfortable with. Nick was always happy with his and Egan’s suspension is dialled, so we’re set.

“For Egan it’s his first big race as a pro and I’m confident in him to do really well if he doesn’t over think stuff. Nick’s a hard-working country boy and he’s been getting good starts and solid results lately. Brock’s been training a lot and should go well, so we’ll just focus on keeping it simple and looking after all the little one percenters that bring results.”

Husqvarna will also have Kiwi champion Kayne Lamont (MX2) and Queensland rising star Nathan Crawford (MXD) competing in support roles this season.
