Quality line-up assembles for 2014 outdoor season.
KTM Australia has outlined its selection of factory-supported riders for 2014, including a host of quality MX Nationals contenders.
Kale Makeham (Tunetech Racing KTM), Brenden Harrison (Twe12e Clothing KTM), Dean Porter (Berry Sweet/Mandurah City KTM), Jack Simpson (Bolton’s KTM) and Louis Calvin (Berry Sweet/Mandurah City KTM) will all compete with backing from KTM.
Makeham (pictured), Harrison and Porter will spearhead the program in the MX2 category nationally, with Simpson shooting for the MXD national title outdoors – all aboard the 250 SX two-stroke.
The four of them will be KTM’s title hopes in the MX2 category for next season, with the Choice Motorsports KTM program sidelined for 2014.
“Our 250SX has been something of a revelation for MX2 riders,” said KTM’s national marketing manager Greg Chambers.
“Privateers looking for plenty of power on a budget can find it there without having to modify a 250cc four-stroke and the engines are easier to maintain without smashing the bank balance.”
Calvin will step up to a 450 SX-F in the Opens, primarily focusing on Western Australian competition, but also targeting the majority of the MX Nationals series.
