Australia slipped out of a Senior World Trophy podium position during Friday’s penultimate day of the 2013 International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), now fifth entering tomorrow’s all-important final outing.
The Aussie seniors were struck with bad luck when Glenn Kearney and Tom McCormack had mechanical faults, with the podium now filled by France, USA and Italy. Australia is fourth, almost five minutes out of podium contention.
Friday also saw the Aussie Juniors slip back in the standings to sixth, that category headed by France from Italy and Great Britain.
Our Women continue to dominate however, the trio of Jessica Gardiner, Jemma Wilson and Tayla Jones now holding a commanding 12 and a half minute advantage over Sweden and France.
The E1 individual ranks are led by Cristobal Guerrero, Jeremy Joly and Lorenzo Santolino, with Kearney now 14th and McCormack out of the order.
Daniel Milner is a minute ahead of Pierre Alexandr Renet and Johnny Aubert in E2, while Josh Strang is seventh, Josh Green 15th, Lachlan Stanford 19th, Scott Keegan 31st and Ben Burrell 33rd.
The E2 ranks sees Antoine Meo on top, followed by Mathias Bellino and Mike Brown. Australian Chris Hollis is now fourth, just 22 seconds outside of a podium.
Gardiner still leads the Women’s from Jessica Jonsson and Wilson, with Jones fourth.
