Queenslander Brenden Harrison has confirmed he’ll contest the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship with Choice Motorsports KTM.
The likeable 23-year-old will return from a string of injuries to pilot a 250 SX two-stroke for the official KTM Lites effort and says he’s in the best shape of his life ahead of next month’s season-opener.
“I just can’t wait and am stoked to be a part of Choice Motorsports KTM for Supercross,” Harrison revealed to MotoOnline.com.au.
“My preparation is better than I’ve ever had, I’m fitter and everything’s going really good so I just can’t wait. I just made the decision to switch to the 250 two-stroke – it suits my weight a lot better and they’re ridiculously fast.
“The bike’s much lighter than a 250F, so I made that decision and have been riding for the last couple of days and absolutely love it.”
Harrison’s comeback is the latest step forward in a long road to recovery, undergoing numerous surgeries since initially sustaining a broken femur during the 2010 season.

The Australian Supercross Championship will commence at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway on 14-15 September.
