Following a freak practice accident this week, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson announced via his Twitter account that he has been sidelined once again with a possible shoulder injury.
While training for this weekend’s Tennessee round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Wilson’s engine blew up on the face of a jump – creating one of the worst situations a rider can find themselves in.
Wilson kicked off his 2012 Motocross season with a shoulder injury that eventually forced him out of his 250 Class title defence – it looks to be that same shoulder that the Scotsman fears he has re-injured.
“Words can’t describe how gutted I am,” said Wilson. “Training yesterday bike blew up off jump and might have re-injured shoulder. Can’t believe it.”
Wilson will sit out this weekend’s event and at this stage his future beyond the upcoming round is uncertain. Stay tuned for any updates on Wilson’s condition as they arise.
