Choice Motorsports KTM’s factory MX2 effort will be spearheaded by two of the hottest prospects in the sport, Kayne Lamont and Dylan Long, when the Monster Energy MX Nationals commence this weekend.

The pairing of Lamont and Long finished 1-2 in the 2012 MXD championship and will make for a formidable team aboard the 2013 KTM 250 SX-F.

Continuity and comfort on the KTM machinery is expected to be a strong point for the teenage rookies who are eager to make an impact in what is a talent-stacked class.

While Lamont is new to the fold, Long raced with the team in 2012 and manager of Choice Motorsports KTM Anthony Giles believes both riders are in for a strong season.

“We’re excited to have Dylan and Kane, the current one-two MXD class riders, as part of the team, and to be able to give them the opportunity to advance to the MX2 class with KTM which they both rode in 2012,” said Giles.

“Supporting the younger riders in advancing their professional careers in the sport is important to KTM.

“As a team we are looking forward to Dylan and Kane both having a positive start to the 2013 MX Nationals at Raymond Terrace this weekend.”

Australian Motocross will kick-off this weekend at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales.
