Australian Brett Metcalfe will contest the Canadian Motocross Championship in 2013 for Leading Edge Kawasaki.
Reports suggest that Australian Brett Metcalfe will contest the Canadian Motocross Championship in 2013 for Leading Edge Kawasaki.
The American Motocross round winner and 2010 series runner-up failed to secure a seat in the US after missing much of last season through injury, prompting the predicted move north.
“Just got official word today on a rumour we’ve heard about for some time,” Racer X Online reported. “Brett Metcalfe has come to terms with Leading Edge Kawisaki to ride the Canadian Nationals this summer.
“We wish Metty good luck up there, and we’ll follow up with more info as it comes in.”
Metcalfe has long been linked to a seat in Canada unless a late AMA ride arose, previously turning down a serious bid from Motul Pirelli Suzuki to return to Australia.
The Canadian outdoors will officially commence on 2 June at The Wasteland, British Columbia.
