Former Supersport World Champion Karl Muggeridge has made a shock appearance at the Cadwell Park British Superbike test this week, rejoining the team that he last rode for 10 years ago in the Supersport category.
The ousted Celani Suzuki rider is in line to deputise for injured fellow Australian Glen Richards on the factory BSB squad, while the team will also be looking for a rider to fill the position of Josh Brookes, who is banned for the next two races.
Muggeridge has had a mixed Superbike career to date after great success in the Supersport ranks previously, a Superbike ride on the HM Plant CBR1000RR set to be the ideal opportunity to get his career back on track should he receive the the go ahead to compete at the upcoming rounds.
In other BSB news, Australia’s factory PBM Kawasaki World Superbike rider Broc Parkes will make his debut in BSB alongside teammate Makoto Tamada at the Brands Hatch round.
Parkes’ British-based Kawasaki outfit is run by former BSB front-runners, Paul Bird Motorsport, with the round doubling as testing time for Team Green in order to improve upon their current WSBK form.
