Victorian Lewis Woods will compete as a privateer in the MX2 category of the Monster Energy MX Nationals during 2013.
Woods will ride a Suzuki RM-Z250 in the complete series this season, taking the privateer route after finishing 10th in the standings last year.
“At this stage I’m racing Lites on Suzuki, but I’m just looking for a bit of infrastructure at the races,” Woods told MotoOnline.com.au
“Everyone I speak to thinks I’m all sorted for a ride at the moment with H&H, but that’s not the case.”
Woods completed the second half of last year’s outdoor series despite a wrist injury sustained at Hervey Bay, confident he can make progress this season.
“Wrist healed up all good, still not 100 percent, but definitely better than when it was injured at round six last year,” Woods added.
Woods best overall result of the season in 2012 was an impressive sixth at Wanneroo in Western Australia.
