Kwala has released “The Next Step”, a film dedicated to Jesse Dobson for proving his worth after a tough year rehabilitating from injuries, managing to get fit within seven weeks of Australian titles to take out the 13-15 years 250 four-stroke class.
At the 2011 Australian junior nationals, Dobson dislocated his shoulder in a racing incident and was forced to have a shoulder reconstruction.
Unfortunately, in his first week back riding he was taken down by another rider while racing and broke his leg in three places.
After working hard in rehab and training for the 2012 Australian junior nationals, Dobson was back on the bike just seven weeks before the event after being injured for 11 months.
Having to come through the pack to podium positions in the first two finals of the event made it hard for Dobson, but after making some adjustments for the last three finals, he was able to put a solid week together and bring home the Australian title.
Dobson has another year as an amateur but feels he is ready for the senior ranks, and this is the next step. Dobson now plans to take on the MX2 class at Woodville in New Zealand on 26- 27 January.
