After dominating the Under 19s Australian motocross and supercross series’ in 2011, Raceline Pirelli Suzuki’s Errol Willis was yet to showcase his true talent until the recent Terex Australian Supercross Championships season finale.

At a critical time in the season, Willis landed himself on the SX-Lites podium for the first time this year at Newcastle’s fourth and final round of the 2012 supercross series.

As the Wagga Wagga rider does not yet have a ride locked in for the 2013 season, this podium will prove vital to catching the eye of potential employers for the new year.

“The Raceline Pirelli Suzuki team and I worked hard all year, but it took 12 months for us to land on the podium in the Lites class – better late than never I suppose,” said Willis. “I didn’t feel like I had been able to showcase my talent until that point, so it was a good feeling.”

Willis will have to wait and see what comes his way, as he admits he does not have any offers on the table for the 2013 season at this point in time.

“I’ve been fast all year, but my hip dislocation mid-season made things hard and it was a big deal to come back from that,” he added. “I’m not sure what I will be doing for 2013 yet, I don’t really have any offers, so at the moment I’m just waiting to see what happens.”

After four rounds of racing, Willis finished up his rookie 2012 Terex Australian Supercross Championships season in 12th place overall.
