Motorex Force Husaberg’s Scott Keegan finished fourth in the E3 category of the 2012 Australian Four-Day Enduro at Warragul in Victoria, debuting the brand new 2013 model Husaberg FE 501.
Fresh from finishing third in the Australian Off-Road Championship, Keegan battled to fourth over a grueling four-day period at the A4DE, Australia’s most iconic enduro event on the calendar.
Despite minimal preparation aboard the all-new FE 501 ahead of the event, Keegan was credited 17th Outright and now looks forward to a positive season ahead in 2013 following an impressive debut campaign with Husaberg this year.
“This year’s A4DE had some highs and lows,” he reflected. “We got the new 2013 FE 501 the week before the event and did little riding aboard it, but I was instantly happy with the whole new bike – it’s definitely more of a race-ready bike.
“Minimal time to prepare meant little suspension work was completed, which beat me up a bit over the race, but I still had some good speed in the bush test and posted some pretty solid times in the enduro tests.
“A big thanks goes to Husaberg Australia, especially Jeff Leisk for his ongoing support. It would have been great to get on the box, but I just made a few too many mistakes during the race week. Now I’m looking forward to what 2013 will bring and will push for some wins hopefully.”
