Serco Yamaha Metal Mulisha Racing has revealed that Luke Clout will stand in for the injured Kirk Gibbs during the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship.
Clout has spent the past two years in the USA learning and honing his craft as a racer before returning home for a resounding MXD win at the Moree round of the MX Nationals.
“I was shocked to get the call from Serco and have the chance to race for them in supercross,” Clout admitted.
“They have been the best Lites team in Australia over the last decade and I’m so excited they gave me this chance.”
Clout will team up with MX Nationals runner-up Luke Styke, who yesterday headed to Belgium in preparation for the FIM Motocross of Nations.
The Australian Supercross Championship will commence at Dubbo in New South Wales on 13 October.
