Pirelli mounted riders swept the MX2 podium at Hervey Bay.

Hervey Bay’s round six of the 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals saw Pirelli mounted riders sweep the MX2 podium on the day.

Serco Yamaha Metal Mulisha’s Luke Styke steered his way to the top of the podium with his Pirelli Scorpion MX Mid Soft front, while usung his Scorpion MX Soft 410 rear to dig through the Queensland sands.

Behind Styke was teammate Kirk Gibbs who used a similar Pirelli combination to take second spot, while Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Ford Dale finished off the Pirelli podium sweep in third spot.

Pirelli mounted riders currently hold down seven of the top ten spots in the overall MX2 standings, with the complete top five all running Pirelli tyre combinations, along with the seventh and ninth place holders.
