Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart is officially out for this weekends round five of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship to be held at the world renowned Budds Creek circuit.
After taking a hard fall at round three in Thunder Valley and injuring his right hand, Stewart returned to round four at High Point and completed one moto before retiring from the day due to a lack of grip.
Stewart announced via Twitter today that he will sit out Budds Creek and work towards being completely healthy in the coming weeks, in a bid to return to his early season form.
“Sad to say but I won’t be at budds creek this weekend,” Stewart said via Twitter today. “Things are getting better but still not where I need to be, to be racing this Saturday.
“Good luck to everyone racing this weekend and I look forward to being completely healthy in a few weeks so I can race how I started the year off.”
Stewart will now drop even further back in the points chase, and most likely out of the championship hunt completely. Stay tuned to MotoOnline.com.au for updates on Stewart’s recovery.
