Australian Dean Ferris qualified 11th for the French Grand Prix at Saint Jean d’Angely on Saturday.
Ferris continued his positive run of recent form, now looking forward to Sunday’s grand prix round in France.
“Riding felt good, even though my start wasn’t the best possible,” Ferris explained. “I was able to gain a few positions to 11th during the first laps and I didn’t let the guy behind pass me, even though I felt him pressuring.
“I am satisfied with my riding and the position gives me good possibilities in tomorrow’s race.”
CP377 Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit rider Christophe Pourcel won the MX1 qualifying heat from Gautier Paulin and Clement Desalle, while Antonio Cairoli was fourth.
In MX2 it was Tommy Searle who won ahead of Jeffrey Herlings and Jeremy van Horebeek.
