Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s Toby Price travelled to the US this to contest a number of events, scoring some good results and gaining a boost in confidence ahead of Coonabarabran’s Australian Off Road Championship rounds.
Aboard his 500 EXC, Price first contested a GNCC round on the East Coast of America, but was denied a result due to a split in an aftermarket fuel tanks, before he finished second in a Mid-America Cross Country round and sixth in a National Enduro round to conclude the trip.
The former two-time AORC winner will use his US experience to help increase his Outright and E3 class leads in the upcoming fifth and six rounds of the series this weekend.
“I just got back in from America yesterday and I feel good after scoring a couple of good results over there,” Price commented. “We’re heading into the AORC halfway point now, so I need to get back focused on the series and keep consistent on that podium.
“I’ve still got momentum on my side from early this year and I was able to get a lot of riding in while I was in the States. I feel like the trip recharged my batteries in some ways, so to get some wins on the board for KTM is definitely the plan.”
Round five and six of the AORC series will take place at Coonabarabran’s Goanna Tracks on 28-29 April.
