The 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals series will roll into Wonthaggi in Victoria for round three of action this weekend, 28-29 April.

After an injury-riddled round two at Coonabarabran, we saw the departure of Ben Townley and Billy Mackenzie from the MX1 class, with CDR Yamaha’s Josh Coppins taking over the championship lead.

Jake Moss proved he was up to speed after sweeping the two opening motos at Goanna Tracks, so the privateer rider will also be one to watch in Wonthaggi on the MX1 machine.

In the MX2 class Luke Styke is looking strong and has taken over the championship lead from Serco Yamaha Metal Mulisha Racing teammate Kirk Gibbs, after sweeping all-three motos at round two.

While in the MXD class Tasmanian Dylan Leary is starting to show his true potential, taking the win on a borrowed 250 two-stroke at round two, moving himself up into second overall behind round one winner Dylan Long.

MotoOnline.com.au will compile an official pre-race Fan Guide ahead of every round in 2012.

Wonthaggi MX Track, West Area Rd Wonthaggi, VIC.

Event Entry:

Adults: $30 one day or $50 for the weekend
Children (aged 5-15 years): $15 one day or $20 for the weekend
Family (two adults and two children aged 5-15 years): $70 one day or $100 for the weekend
