Konsky: Townley will be an AMA championship threat

Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing's Yarrive Konsky believes that Ben Townley will race for the championship on his new TwoTwo Motorsports ride in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Yarrive Konsky is confident that Ben Townley will battle for the title in the AMA MX series.

Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Yarrive Konsky believes that Ben Townley will race for the championship on his new TwoTwo Motorsports ride in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

After showing great speed and endurance at Conondale’s first round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals, Townley looks to be on-track for a solid year of racing.

“Ben will win races in America. I am a realist, winning the championship will take everything he has,” Konsky said. “I know he will commit his all and in the end the most prepared racer will win the championship.

“Ben is prepared to win, but he will be going to America with minimal time on their bike and in that environment, therefore round one is hard to predict. Anyone who counts him out is foolish.”

Konsky also added that he believes TwoTwo Motorsports has all the equipment and resources that Townley needs to race for the championship.

“TwoTwo is the best place for Ben to go after this. They have the equipment and resources to give Ben what he needs. He is a knowledgeable rider and can work out a bike quickly. He will race for the championship – that’s my predication.”
