Martin makes it a podium finish on debut with GYTR Yamaha

Victorian Sam Martin put in an impressive showing at Conondale, taking a third place finish on debut with his new GYTR Yamaha ride.

Sam Martin will be looking to hit round two healthy and ready to go.

Victorian Sam Martin put in an impressive showing at Conondale’s Monster Energy MX Nationals opener in the MXD category, taking a third place finish on debut with his new GYTR Yamaha ride.

Martin came into the event struggling with a shoulder injury and says that without the RACESAFE Medical Team’s medical attention, this result would not have been possible.

“I probably should dedicate this to the team at RACESAFE, who were able to give me the medical attention I needed and keep me out on the race track,” said Martin.

“My shoulder was pretty tender but they strapped it up solidly and I was able to race with only some discomfort.

“The GYTR Yamaha team also did a great job. The whole crew rallied around me and gave me plenty of good advice and encouragement and it’s nice to be surrounded by good people.

“With two weeks until the next round, I won’t have long to let my shoulder recover but I will do what it takes to get it right and be back up to full speed as quickly as possible.”

Martin and the GYTR Yamaha team will be back on the line for round two of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Coonabarabran, NSW, 14-15 April.
