Serco Yamaha Metal Mulisha Racing’s Kirk Gibbs’ motivation may have changed for 2012, but his goal certainly has not.
After coming within 10-points of winning last years MX2 MX Nationals title, Gibbs has made some changes and says he feels more fit and fresh than ever before, as he aims to take out that top spot on the podium in 2012.
“I have been second in the championship for the past two years so at the end of the year, I sat down and looked at what I did and how I can improve it,” said Gibbs.
“I felt if I kept doing the same things, I would get the same results, so I moved back to South Australia, changed up my training a bit and I’m now feeling as fit and as fresh as I ever have.
“My motivation may have changed, but the goal hasn’t and I want to win the Pro Lites MX Nationals this year.”
Gibbs will begin 2012 MX2 Monster Energy MX Nationals title campaign at Conondale, 1 April.
