JDR/KTM Factory Racing's Ryan Marmont sounds off on a number of motocross topics.
A new section we have been looking at introducing to MotoOnline.com.au for some time now is ‘Fast Thoughts’, where we corner a rider and get their opinion on a number of topics that we might not often hear about.
To start, here’s a few that we did with JDR/KTM Factory Racing’s Ryan Marmont a little while ago, but this is just th etip of the iceberg – the topics will get tougher as the feature gains momentum.
Marmont is one of our greatest ever domestic stars, a multi-time Australian champion who is recognised as one of the sport’s nice guys. We ran four topics by him to get his Fast Thoughts.
Social Networking…
It’s definitely brought the world closer together and it’s a great way to stay in touch
Four-strokes…
I think we all miss the sound of two-strokes, but competitively four-strokes are quicker around a track
Mud supercross races…
Should never have been invented [laughs]. They’re terrible!
Practicing starts…
They are key. A lot of riders forget to do them, but I swear by doing lots during the week
