The future of Jake Moss has been confirmed this week, forming a privateer Honda team to contest the Pro Open class of the MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship.
Moss has signed with Campbell Mining Services Pty Ltd, which yesterday announced the Campbell Mining/TLD/Maxima/Honda Team.
The former national Lites champion will use MPE Suspension and Bridgestone Tyres, plus has a variety of supporters lined up for the season.
“I’m sure there will be many hurdles along the way to achieving what we want, however the race-ready Honda 450 will help us have the best possible shot at an MX Nationals title,” Campbell Mining’s Dave Campbell said.
“We are stoked to have Chris Prestedge from Cylinder Head Warehouse onboard as the team mechanic. We are still working on a few more deals in order to have some more of the best available MX product lines come onboard the new team to help us throughout the year.
“The response so far has been great in signing products such as Unifilter, LKI Clothing, Alpinestars, Pro Circuit, Bridgestone, EKS Goggles, Delwest Valve Train Components, Versus Luxury Wheels, Hammer Head Design, A1 Accessory Imports, Talon Hubs and SM Rims. We want to pass on a big thanks to all of them.”
The former AMA outdoor podium finisher will continue to work with the Moss Institute at select events throughout the year. For dates, visit www.mossyonline.com.au.
Last year saw Moss struggle through injury for much of the season as part of the Serco and CDR Yamaha teams.
Moss will make his official national debut with the team at the first round of the outdoors on 1 April at Conondale in Queensland.
