Motorcycles will be on track at Marulan this month

Motorcycle trackdays will commence this month at the Marulan Driver Training Centre in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, located just 160km south-west of Sydney.

The circuit was officially opened by Goulburn mayor Carol James on 10 February and is the project of former Wakefield Park manager Garry Willmington, featuring a one kilometre circuit and quality facilities constructed to offer driver training and education.

In its early stages of development the MDTC venue features a viewing platform, coffee shop, and classroom, with Willmington’s team constantly upgrading the circuit and modifying it to be more suitable for motorcycle events.

Motorcycles took part in a trial run under popular web-based club New South Wales Road and Track Bikes (RATs) on 31 May, with a full-on trackday run through the club scheduled to happen on 28 June.

Reports from the trial run have been glowing, with selected participants reporting that the circuit is technical, demanding and enjoyable, offering plenty of variety despite its length of only one kilometre and width of eight metres.

The official opening track day will be accepting just 30 riders from within the NSW RATs club, with three groups of 10 riders set to kick-off the proceedings at the recently resurfaced venue.
