Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki’s Josh Hansen admits that he was struggling to find form at Oakland’s fourth round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross.
The 2010 Australian Super X Champion finished a solid 10th and sits eighth in the standings in his return to the premier class, but is aiming for more as the season progresses.
“The race went good for the results that we got,” Hansen said. “We struggled all day and could never get the bike right – I just didn’t have the comfort level that I needed today.
“I didn’t ride the best, but we managed to get another 10th place ride and that’s good for the points. We’re still in the points running and it’s a long season.
“We’re looking for better results, [but] my guys worked hard all day. We’ll take the finish and head down to Anaheim next weekend.”
The Oakland round marked Hansen’s third 10th place finish of the season, with seventh in Los Angeles ranking as his best finish to date.
