The Entertainment Quarter’s Showring is set to fill with thousands of action sports enthusiasts this Saturday when the Hart and Huntington Freestyle Tour presented by Holden makes the third stop of its Australian tour in Sydney.

The free-to-the-public event, beginning at 2pm, is being held in conjunction with P!NK and her sell-out Funhouse tour, and features her husband, Carey Hart, as its lead freestyle motocross (FMX) rider.

A pioneer of the FMX movement in the United States, Hart was the first man to land a backflip on a dirt bike, and is credited with the steady progression of the sport from niche to mainstream.

The Sydney event will run for three hours, packing in an amazing array of FMX, mini bike and street bike stunts, while showcasing the hottest fashions from his own Hart and Huntington line and associated brands, plus incredible tattoo and street art.

Hart said he couldn’t wait to bring the tour to Sydney and encouraged as many fans as possible to come along for the free event.

“Sydney is one of my favourite cities in Australia and I’m really looking forward to putting on the third show of the tour at The Showring,” said Hart.

“It’s been six years since I’ve ridden FMX outside of the US, and this is the first tour that P!NK and myself have worked on together, which is very exciting for me.

“Riding alongside me will be some of Australia’s best including Matty McFerran and Robbie Marshall, amongst others. These guys have performed over 400 shows around the country in the past 12 months and are always on the edge of the most progressive crowd-pleasing tricks.

“Australia’s leading stunt rider, Matt Mingay will also be putting on a show as well as the always-entertaining Brown’s Grafix Mini Bike team.”

Mingay is a widely-acclaimed stunt bike star, a stunt double in a number of Hollywood blockbusters including Mission: Impossible.

The crew from Brown’s Grafix may only bring a collective 400cc to the table – just 50cc per bike – but what they lack in power is more than made up in excitement as they pull a series of seemingly impossible tricks on their own custom ramp setup.

“As well as all the two-wheel action we’re showcasing the hottest trends in fashion today, to the beat of the latest tunes,” continued Hart.

“An awesome display of street art will also take place, with a number of works being created live at the event by renowned local talents including Craig Irvine of Graffiti FX.”

The Chevrolet Club of NSW joins the tour in Sydney, with their lineup of incredible, immaculately restored vehicles topping the million-dollar mark.
