Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s Jarrod Bewley has proven the two-stroke is alive and well in enduro competition, wrapping up the E3 class title in the Australian Off Road Championship on Sunday aboard the 300 EXC.
Bewley finished second at Salisbury’s finale in NSW in the E3 category to wrap up the series, adding the feat to the E1 class championship that he won for Motorex KTM Off Road Racing in 2010.
“The final round’s conditions were tough and very slippery, which tested all of the riders’ abilities on the weekend,” Bewley said. “I was happy to get the class win, which was one goal that I achieved for the year.
“Fourth overall is good considering the depth in the field, although of course I would have liked to finish higher. I had a consistent year, but I’ll be training harder and focusing even more for next year.
“I really have to thank the Motorex KTM Off Road Racing team for their help during the season.”
In the Outright championship, Bewley finished fourth overall as top KTM contender for the season. Bewley was seventh in the final Cross Country round of the year, before Monday’s scheduled action was cancelled due to rainfall.
