TwoTwo Motorsports has signed legendary AMA mechanic Mike Gosselaar to its team for the 2012 season.
Gosselaar will be reunited with Australian team owner Chad Reed, the pair racing to the 2009 AMA Pro Motocross Championship together with Suzuki.
Reed confirmed this week via Twitter that Gosselaar will join TwoTwo Motorsports, however his official role is yet to be revealed.
Reports in the U.S. suggest that Gosselaar will be the crew chief of TwoTwo Motorsports, although speculation has linked him to a second rider on the team.
Gosselaar is noted as one of the best in the business, partnering with Ricky Carmichael at both Honda and Suzuki, before working with Reed and then Ryan Dungey at Suzuki.
Reed has confirmed that current mechanic Lars Lindstrom will remain in his corner, while team manager Dave Osterman is also expected to stay.
TwoTwo Motorsports’ chosen manufacturer for the new year is also yet to be confirmed, said to be between Honda or Suzuki in 2012.
Stay tuned for further information as it comes to hand ahead of next season.
