Australian FMX legend Cam Sinclair admits that he’s been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the Red Bull X-Fighters on Cockatoo Island in Sydney, practicing on his regular FMX tricks in a bid to compete for victory tomorrow night.
The 27-year-old has based his career around the spectacular double backflip that took him to X Games gold in 2010, however after taking silver at X Games in Best Trick this year, Sinclair is excited to get back to a full FMX run at the X-Fighters.
“It’s so awesome to have the X-Fighters championship come to Australia, I was just so excited to get an invite!” Sinclair said. “The past year I’ve really been focusing on my double flips and working on combos for X Games, so my regular FMX tricks suffered a little bit.
“I have been working hard recently on getting back to my best and working on some new stuff for this weekend, so we’ll see how we go. I’m just looking forward to competing in front of all my friends and family and will give it everything I’ve got.”
Sinclair is no stranger to X-Fighters competitions, having placed on the podium in Texas, USA in 2009, he also suffered severe injury soon after, whilst competing at the Madrid, Spain round.
