Jake Moss is on track to debut for CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha in Super X come October.

Current Australian Supercross number three Jake Moss is on target for the opening round of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, according to team boss Craig Dack.

Moss will join the CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha team alongside Jay Marmont on the factory YZ450F during Super X, still recovering from recent shoulder surgery after sustaining an injury during the Wodonga round of the MX Nationals last month.

“From what we understand, Jake’s surgery was a success,” Dack told MotoOnline.com.au this week. “Although it will be tight time-wise, we expect that he’ll be fit and ready for the start of Super X.”

Speculation in recent weeks had Moss in doubt for the season, which starts on 22 October in Melbourne, however he’s now commenced training and will soon return to the bike in preparation for the series.

Last season saw Moss return to Australia for Super X with Suzuki, finishing third in the series behind title winner Josh Hansen and Marmont. The highlight for Moss was a sterling round victory at Parramatta’s penultimate round.

After a number of years based in the U.S, Moss rode for Serco Yoshimura Yamaha in the Pro Lites class of the MX Nationals this year, racing to podiums at Murray Bridge, Toowoomba and Coonabarabran before injuries forced him out.

Moss missed the opening round of the season at Broadford due to a shoulder injury sustained in the pre-season while contesting a German Supercross event in January.
