Husqvarna Factory rider Alex Salvini is set to join fellow factory rider Bartosz Oblucki for an assault on Australia’s premier off road enduro event, the Australian 4 Day Enduro.
The amiable Italian will bolster the already strong Husqvarna Racing rider roster for the event, which has become the second largest global enduro event behind the ISDE.
With the credenitals to back it up, Salvini should be a genuine contender for victory in the prestigious event.
In the last four years Salvini has tasted success in both the enduro and motocross realms at the highest level, winning the 2007 ISDE, competing in the 2008 Motocros of Nations, with 2009 and 2010 seeing him finish twice runner up in the MX3 world championship. 2010 also saw Salvini finish runner up at the ISDE in the E1 class,.
These results coupled with a very successful list of victories in European and Italian championships will provide Salvini an excellent base for his competition debut on Australian soil.
Salvini will compete in the E1 Class at the event and will spend several weeks in Australia prior to the A4DE familiarizing himself with the conditions, working with the race technicians to develop a race ready package for the event format and course.
