Australia will receive same day telecasts of the 2011 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, with select races scheduled to be aired live during the season.
MotoOnline.com.au can reveal that SPEED Australia, the all-new 24-hour motorsports channel on FOXTEL and AUSTAR, has plans to air certain rounds of the series live this year, according to SPEED channel producer Michael Strano.
“We will be showing AMA Motocross races live this year, it just depends on the scheduling and where we can fit the races in during the season,” Strano told MotoOnline this afternoon.
The opening round of the 2011 AMA Pro Motocross Championship will be broadcast on SPEED in Australia this Sunday, scheduled for 1.00-2.30pm AEST, however check your local guide for finalised listings.
With SPEED Australia’s close association with the U.S. network, Australia has enjoyed significantly improved coverage of international events since SPEED was launched in Australia last November.
SPEED can be found by FOXTEL and AUSTAR subscribers by checking out channel 505, or 206 for the HD channel.
