Red Bull KTM’s Mike Alessi has enjoyed his best performance of the 2011 AMA Supercross season yet with a fine sixth in Seattle on Saturday night.
Alessi had another decent start when the gate dropped for the main event, rounding the first corner in sixth position.
From there Alessi progressed through the ranks before crashing after he cross-rutted on a triple, eventually claiming sixth for the evening.
“I felt really good all day today and my bike was working great,” Alessi said. “I have really picked up my training program as I begin preparation for the longer motos outdoors and it is paying off.
“I am excited for the break this weekend and looking forward to spending some time at home before heading to Salt Lake City.”
Following an injury-free Supercross season to date, Alessi will enter next month’s outdoor season-opener as a title favourite aboard the 350 SX-F.
