Advanti Motorex Coastal KTM Team rider Robbie Marshall is hoping that the three-week break ahead of Murray Bridge’s fourth round of the MX Nationals will enable him to regain full fitness.

The Queenslander has been juggling FMX and race duties for much of 2011 as he recovers from a broken collarbone, finishing 16th overall in the Pro Open class at Raymond Terrace last weekend.

Switching from the 350 SX-F to a 450 for last weekend, Marshall enjoyed improved starts on Sunday.

“My starts improved massively in the first two races and I was running inside the top eight in both motos, but my fitness let me down majorly,” he admitted. “My KTM was working really well and I think we are ready to progress inside the top 10.

“Now with three weeks before the next round I can finally get some bike time and get stuck into the training. I haven’t been able to do anything with my busy schedule over the last month, so I am super keen to knuckle down at home finally and keep pushing on.”

Marshall is currently running in 18th position in the championship after three of nine rounds.
