FOX Racing’s Australian motocross team will debut the iconic American brand’s limited edition 360 Retro gear at Sydney’s second round of the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship this weekend.
The Daytona edition 360 Retro Racewear will be worn by team riders Jay Marmont, Josh Coppins, Cody Mackie, Kieran Hall, Dylan Peterson and Sam Duncanson to coincide with the gear’s arrival into Australia, available in national dealers since 1 March.
“It’s going to be awesome to see the team run the FOX 360 Retro gear this weekend at Appin,” FOX Racing Australian representative Mick Sinclair commented. “It’s a one-off limited set of gear that the U.S. team wore at Daytona.
“It’s finally landed here in Australia and we thought why not have the boys wear it at Appin to help with the release of this set of gear into our FOX Dealers. I think we’re the only company that has had our riders run a theme for a round and it’s something we’d like to make an annual thing in the future.”
CDR Rockstar Energy Yamaha’s defending triple Australian Motocross Champion Jay Marmont looks forward to sporting the retro theme when the gates drop at Appin on Sunday.
“FOX is a brand that’s recognised worldwide for coming up with cool themes, so to wear the 360 Retro gear this weekend at Appin will be an honour for me at what is my home round on the calendar,” Marmont said. “It’s definitely a positive thing to mix it up a bit and I can’t wait to wear it on track.”
Released on 1 March in Australia, the V3 Daytona Helmet retails for $429.95, the 360 Daytona Jersey retails for $69.95 and the 360 Daytona Pants retail for $199.95.
