Team San Manuel Yamaha Red Bull’s James Stewart has confirmed that he’ll be fit enough to contest this weekend’s 12th round of the AMA Supercross Championship when it visits Toronto, Canada.
After crashing out in Jacksonville, Stewart has remained focused on recovering and preparing for this weekend in a bid to win the championship as just six rounds remain.
“I was definitely banged up pretty good in Jacksonville, but I’m feeling a lot better now and ready for Toronto,” Stewart commented this week. “At this point it’s all about the championship and every race counts.
“I want to thank my fans, my team and my sponsors for all of their support this week and every week of the series. It really means a lot to me.”
Stewart is currently in fourth place with 198 points, 23 points behind leader Ryan Villopoto.
