Queenslander Todd Waters is hoping to improve on his current ranking of sixth position in the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, fresh off a week riding with fellow young gun Tye Simmonds.
Cougar Bourbon Honda Thor Racing’s Waters finished sixth overall last weekend in the mud of Dunedin, now just seven points behind teammate Dan Reardon in the championship standings.
“I drove out to Burke to stay with Tye Simmonds and spent the week out there doing some training, which was really good,” 20-year-old Waters said.
“I’m looking to put last weekend behind me and better my previous results. I want to have a good round this weekend and continue it through to Brisbane.
“I prefer the longer races but I think I’m ready for tomorrow’s format, so it should be fun.”
Waters’s sixth place finish last weekend marked his best result of the season after a consistent run of seventh and eighth placings in previous rounds.
The Parramatta format will feature the Quad Challenge, consisting of four six-lap races in the Open class.
