Cougar Bourbon Honda Racing’s Dan Reardon is desperate to make up for his uncharacteristic seventh place finish at last weekend’s Canberra round of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship.
Queensland contender Reardon struggled as the slippery track surface affected his performance in Canberra, and heading into tonight’s Tasmanian round, rain is again falling during practice.
“I had pretty good speed but I couldn’t get into the right race rhythm and the leaders just got away,” said Reardon of his Canberra result.
“If I can keep up these good starts and get clear of the usual battle into the first turn then I’m confident I can run up front.”
Reardon, the 2009 Super X Open runner-up, finished a close second-place overall when the series visited Tasmania last year and can make inroads on his fourth placing in the series with a good run this weekend.
