Cool Air Conditioning's Kevin Crutcher (left) will cease his involvement with Cool Air at the close of 2010, however it's said that Troy Carroll will remain team manager.

The Kawasaki Racing Team will no longer be run by Cool Air Conditioning’s Kevin Crutcher in 2011 as the Queenslander has announced that he will part ways with Kawasaki after the close of this year’s Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship.

It was confirmed yesterday that Cool Air and Kawasaki will split, the pair unable to reach an agreement to continue into the new year. In a surprise revelation by Crutcher, Cool Air will no longer field a team or be involved in the sport of Motocross or Supercross.

Crutcher formed the Cool Air team in 2007 on Suzuki privateer machinery with multiple national champion Troy Carroll as the rider, before the team switched to Kawasaki and then gained official factory status this season with Carroll as team manager.

Despite Cool Air ceasing its involvement with the operation next season, it’s believed that Carroll will continue in the role of team manager for 2011 in a new-look KRT effort, those details still be be finalised.

KRT will field Cody Mackie and Luke Arbon in this year’s Super X Lites series, while 450 regular Billy Mackenzie continues to heal from a broken collarbone suffered in the United States last month.

Monster Energy-backed American Josh Hansen will also be based out of the KRT semi, entering the season as a title favourite aboard his Pro Circuit Kawasaki KX450F.
