General: New models unveiled at Intermot 2010 in Germany
Last week’s Intermot Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, saw a number of new sportsbikes released and MotoOnline.com.au has the scoop on them all.
Headlining the act was Kawasaki’s highly anticipated 2011 model ZX-10R, while Suzuki released a heavily revised GSX-R600 and 750s, plus an all-new GSR750 nakedbike.
Other new models making headlines were Ducati’s new 1198 SP superbike, as well as KTM’s circuit-only RC8 R Track model.
Further models that made waves at Cologne was Triumph’s new Speed Triple R, as well as its Speedmaster, America, and Thunderbird Storm.
An ABS version of KTM’s popular 990 SM T was also unveiled, as was the final version of its 125 Duke – the bike that was last year revealed as a concept bike.
A trick electronically advanced 2011 model Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC Special Edition was also released with traction control, wheelie control, launch control and a quick-shifter, so stay tuned for a full update on that particular model.
Honda took the wraps off its 2011 model CBR1000RR and CBR600RR machinery, which feature new colours still to be confirmed in Australia.
BMW released its 2011 model K 1600 GT and GTL.
As for Yamaha, it showed off a World Crosser Concept, which is a modified XT1200Z Super Ténéré. It featured several aftermarket parts including Ohlins suspension and an Akrapovic exhaust system, plus full navigation and GPS.
